Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Framework

UDL focuses on all teachers planning high quality core instruction to meet the varied needs of all learners. It involves the use of effective teaching practices and the intentional differentiation of instruction.  It also involves considering different ways of stimulating students’ interest and motivation for learning, different ways to present information and content, and different ways that students can express what they know—all based on students’ needs, assets, and strengths (Cast, 2013).
